Over the past few months, the Mountain View Food Pantry has successfully distributed more than 2,000 pounds of food to local residents, making a tangible impact on reducing hunger in our community.

HOHA organizes regular food distributions in the Mountain View community during evening and weekend hours to best accommodate our clients. By providing staples and culturally sensitive food, we directly combat hunger and ensure that vulnerable populations, including low-income families, seniors, and disabled individuals, have access to essential resources.

Our planned pilot outreach programs, such as our nutrition education workshops offering cooking demonstrations and culturally relevant recipes will empower individuals and families to make healthier food choices and improve their overall well-being. 

HOHA organizes and participates in community food drives, which are essential for collecting large quantities of food for distribution. We collaborate with local organizations, schools, and businesses to host these drives, encouraging community members to donate non-perishable food items. These food drives are often held at various locations, including supermarkets, schools, and community centers, making it convenient for people to contribute.

KIDS-FOR-A-CAUSE is our ongoing collaboration with Alaska's schools to encourage philanthropy among school aged children and their peers in underserved communities. The collected food is then sorted, packed, and distributed to families in need through our regular distribution channels.

Volunteers play a crucial role in our efforts to combat hunger. HOHA organizes volunteer drives and community service events that involve packing and distributing food, as well as engaging in awareness activities. By involving community members in our mission, we build a collective effort to address hunger.
