Mission
Founded in 2015, Help One Help Another, Inc. (HOHA) emerged from the dedicated efforts of volunteers with a drive to transform lives in Anchorage and across Alaska and globally. For over 8 years, HOHA has prioritized the needs of Alaskans through initiatives to help feed and house the poor. Our latest effort came in 2023 with the establishment of the Mat-Su Delivery and Help Center and with the launch of the Mountain View Food Pantry, ensuring those facing food insecurity receive not just nutrition but comprehensive support. Our support extends beyond food, addressing housing, career, and life challenges in collaboration with other agencies.
HOHA is a community-driven group passionate about resolving daily issues and unlocking collective potential. From serving the homeless to counseling people at their lowest point in life, our commitment has always been to serve those in need, transforming hopelessness into hope and despair into dignity. Amid challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affecting those at or below the poverty level, HOHA's mission has grown even more crucial. Help One Help Another, Inc. serves communities by engaging in a broad range of strategies that promote health, education, and development, as well as providing religious, charitable, and humanitarian services. Each program seeks to take the individual or family by the hand and help them transform from hope-less to hope-full.
Our programs are aimed at helping individuals holistically because we know that strong individuals make strong families. Each program seeks to take the individual by the hand and help them transform, step by step, from the hopeless state they have found themselves to a more hopeful and encouraged individual. We believe that stereotypical norms are to be broken and possibilities are endless when a committed support system pushes a person to reach higher heights.
